It is not possible to determine how many firearms were seized across the country in previous years and to analyse the situation in this area, as the competence for seizing different types of firearms lies with all law enforcement agencies, including the Border Service under the State Committee for National Security, the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance, and others. These figures may either increase or decrease depending on the socio-political situation (for example, mass disturbances, unrest, etc.). Therefore, it is not possible to establish precise indicators for SDG national monitoring for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. |
