The ratio of the volume of imports of agricultural products and their processed products to the volume of agricultural production in the republic. |
| Concepts |
Import - covers all agricultural products and their processed products entering the territory of the republic from other countries. Information on imports is taken from official foreign trade statistics based on data from cargo customs declarations and customs receipt orders. The data are taken by net weight, i.e. excluding the weight of the package, and are given by the initial processed products converted into the initial products. Conversion coefficients for processed products into raw products, established according to the data of processing enterprises of the Kyrgyz Republic. Import figures in physical terms are used in the calculation of food balances. Food balances are a system of statistical indicators characterizing the sources of the formation of resources of the main types of agricultural products and the channels of their use. The balance sheets reflect the movement of agricultural products from the moment of production to the moment of its final use, allow for a current analysis of the ratio of resources and their use, and predict the development of the situation on the food market. The volume of livestock production is the amount of raw products obtained as a result of the cultivation and economic use of farm animals and birds (meat, milk and eggs). The volume of crop production is the amount of raw products obtained from the harvest of the reporting year (cereals and legumes, oilseeds, potatoes, vegetables, fruits and berries). |
